THE STORY

FORMER STUD FARM LOCATED IN

THE HEART OF THE BASQUE COUNTRY

acquired in 1996 by Michel Faure, Domaine Santa Maria has become an exceptional venue for receptions.

This ingenious man with whimsical ideas has reimagined the building: “I rebuilt it like a theater, while retaining the charm of the old building; it’s a place where people can escape through its exoticism inspired by the architecture of haciendas, Andalusia, the Maghreb and Mexico. Not forgetting the Basque country.

The property also features nods to the equestrian world.

The Faure family works as a team to deliver the highest level of bespoke experience for every reception.

Papi Michel

The oldest member of the family is always the first to have the greatest ideas. The more outlandish and impossible they are to realize, the more passionate he becomes. The building’s architecture is a figment of his imagination

Jimmy

For over 40 years, Jimmy has been keeping the Basque coast alive and dancing. Starting out as a DJ, he soon became the conductor of the region’s finest private receptions.
A true player in show business and friend to the stars, he produces and books numerous artists all over the world.

Victoria

Casting agent on TF1, press attaché at Universal Music, Project Director in 3 events agencies, Victoria returned to the family estate after 10 years in Paris. With a keen eye for detail, she’ll be with you every step of the way, from marketing to implementation.

WHERE DOES THE NAME “SANTA MARIA” COME FROM?

THE ESTATE WAS BUILT ON

SAINTE MARIE HILL.

As luck would have it, our dear “Papi Michel” is a great admirer of caravels,
including Christopher Columbus’s Santa Maria.
Ships of various sizes are displayed on the premises.
